Smoky Mountain School on Core Function Conference "Get to the Core in the Smokies" The Smoky Mountain School on Core Functions is a joint effort between ETAADAC and MTAADAC. This year's conference will be held at the Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The conference will be held on April 12, 13 and 14, 2006. The overall goal of the School on Core Function Conference is to provide quality, well-rounded and comprehensive core function training to individuals seeking licensure as Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors. All conference participants will be given the opportunity to choose courses that pertain to their level of need in each of the accepted 12 core functions of A & D Counseling. Global criteria for each and appropriate techniques for practical application of function will also be discussed. Contact Hours: Planned and implemented in accordance with the credentialing standards of the Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselor and provides a maximum of 15 contact hours for primary functions. Attendees are asked to maintain attendance records and only claim those hours that he/she rightfully deserves according to ethical standards.
